We are the only AAHA accredited hospital in Flagler county and one of only 6 in the tri-county area. While we are primarily a companion animal hospital, additional training in exotics and/or avian medicine would be a plus. We are looking for a compassionate, experienced, self-motivated, and knowledgeable Veterinary Assistant to add to our seasoned team!
Candidates must minimally have 1 year of experience, with a high degree of organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
Primary duties will include:
- Assisting Technicians and Doctors.
- Restocking supplies.
- Professionally communicating with clients.
- Monitoring patients post-surgery.
- Restraining patients.
- Help with emergency first aid.
- Administer medication and immunizations.
- Collect blood, urine, and tissue samples for lab tests.
- Functional knowledge of Avimark software is a plus.
